It all began…
… when Alison Redshaw left her role as Director of Durham City Arts in July 2011 in order to create a company which would allow her to concentrate upon developing her own arts development practice alongside spending more time ‘being a mum’. For the first year or so Alison created the company Dilly Arts, undertook freelance work and brought together people who shared her vision for Dilly Arts to join our Board of Directors…. in addition to having her third child!
Dilly Arts was conceived in 2011 and ‘born’ in October 2012 when we began delivering projects and programmes built upon Alison’s experience and vision…. and drawing from the combined experience, expertise and ambition of our Board of Directors as ‘Team Dilly’. We are a developing company, currently in our infancy. We hope you’ll enjoy sharing our journey with us.
DILLY ARTS is an arts development not-for-profit company (Ltd). Established in 2011 by Alison Redshaw and based in the small North Pennine rural village of Allendale in Northumberland, we work across the North-East of England. Building upon over 15 years of Arts Development experience at a senior level in the North East, Alison began delivering Dilly Arts’ programmes and projects in October 2012.
